My own morals are molded by my preparation and duty as a mariner serving in the US Navy combined with my obligations and duties as a Christian. At various occasions my moral methodology changes however can be for the most part described as an extension between an utilitarian, follower, Judeo-Christian, and natural moral styles. The utilitarian and follower style lines up with my influential position in the military supporting the witticism â€Å"mission + men = success† with an accentuation on mission first. Pioneers are regularly confronted with settling on a choice that influences the gathering all in all and must consider how the outcome impact the gatherings all in all calling into play the utilitarian style. The Navy additionally requests my steadfastness as we are promised to comply with the legal requests of those named over me. One day I was drawn nearer by a mariner who asserted that Leading Chief Petty official in the food administration division was running him down and he was worried that one day he would not have the option to control his feeling. I inquired as to whether there were any others that felt a similar way and he expressed yes yet they don’t need to stand up and simply needed to take care of business and return home. I disclosed to him that I would pose a few inquiries and investigate before I made any move. That Friday my Command Master Chief (CMC) he has caught wind of a potential equivalent open door issue and needed to know why I have not enlightened him regarding it. The Chief Petty Officer and I had an incredible relationship and I would think of him as a companion anyway since he was a position higher than I we didn't cross those limits. I had a discussion with him and let him talk up the subject of work and the weight he was under to perform and offered to descend and help him and I likewise conversed with the Supply Officer and offered my help with request to defuse the circumstance. These signals were courteously turned down and I was requested to by the Supply Officer not to investigate it any further. I guaranteed him that I was investigating the issues at the most minimal level conceivable, that I have briefly defused the circumstance and on the off chance that I saw any proof to their cases I would tell him right away. Much the same as the mariner said everybody had issues and the more I investigated it the more I revealed. I was confronted with a choice attempt to support the boss and the crucial location the issues of the majority.

Cry beloved country Essay Example For Students

Cry darling nation Essay Part One:The first section of Alan Patons Cry, the Beloved Country starts with a depiction of a street that runs from the town Ixopo into the slope and afterward prompts Carisbrooke and to the valleys of Africa. The grass is rich and tangled, a sacred place that must be kept and monitored for it keeps and watches men. Analysis:Alan Paton starts Cry, the Beloved Country with a portrayal of the land encompassing Ixopo, the town where the minister (and hero) Stephen Kumalo lives. Paton sets up this as a country and disconnected territory, which is critical to build up the character of Kumalo and his relationship to the bigger urban zone of Johannesburg where he will before long get himself. The style of this first section is pompous, likening the endurance of the dirt to no not exactly the endurance of mankind, yet this serves a significant capacity, relating the life and strength of the nation (in the two its implications) to the wellbeing of its occupants and, by expansion, the books characters. Part Two:A little youngster carries a letter to the umfundisi (minister) of the congregation, Stephen Kumalo, who offers the young lady food. This letter is from Johannesburg, and hence might be from either his sister Gertrude, who is a quarter century more youthful than he, his sibling John, a woodworker, or his lone kid Absalom, who had gone and stayed away forever. Both Stephen and his better half delay when opening the letter, figuring it might be from their child, yet it is rather from the Reverend Theophilus Msimangu, who identifies with Stephen that Gertrude is sick and encourages him to go to the Mission House in Sophiatown, Johannesburg, to support her. Kumalo moans, and advises his better half to get him the cash planned for Absaloms training at St. Chads, for the time being that Absalom has gone to Johannesburg, he will never return. His significant other advises Stephen to take the whole twelve pounds, five shillings and seven pence, in the event of some unfo reseen issue. Analysis:This part fills in as the prologue to the hero of Cry, the Beloved Country, the minister Stephen Kumalo, setting up his fundamental clashes and character qualities. From his first experience with the little youngster, Paton sets up Kumalo as a benevolent man yet ground-breaking and regarded inside his locale in spite of his destitution, as appeared by the little investment funds that he and his significant other had figured out for their children training. Kumalo is positively a man of the nation; he and his better half methodology Johannesburg as an almost mythic spot where individuals go and are gone forever. Paton builds up this feeling of stunningness and marvel in the city so as to make a genuine sense that Kumalo is an outcast once he really arrives at the urban zone. This part likewise presents one of the significant subjects of Cry, the Beloved Country: the reassembling of the family. Paton sets up that three individuals from the Kumalo family are curr ently in Johannesburg, and a significant push of the novel will include bringing these different relatives together. The most significant of these characters is the errant child Absalom Kumalo, whose destiny will be the significant distraction of Stephen Kumalo as the story advances. Paton makes an unmistakable sense that Absalom has been lost to his family, with the notice that he will never return to Ixopo and the utilization of his investment funds for different purposes, just as the fear with which the Kumalos approach the letter from Johannesburg; notwithstanding, in spite of this fear note that Stephen and his significant other have not surrendered trust in Absalom, and it is this expectation that will give a significant inspiration to Stephen Kumalos activities. The utilization of the word umfundisi is significant, for it envelops both the exacting importance parson as applied to Stephen Kumalo, but at the same time is utilized as an indication of regard. Along these lines th e utilization of the term to characters other than Kumalo and Reverend Msimangu doesn't really show their occupation, yet is utilized as a title of regard likened to sir or sir. Part Three:The train takes Stephen Kumalo from the valley into the slopes of Carisbrooke, as he stresses over the destiny of his sister, the expense of the outing, and the potential afflictions he may confront. He recalls the narrative of Mpanza, whose child Michael was executed in the road of Johannesburg when he accidentally ventured into traffic. His most squeezing dread, in any case, concerns his child. Before the train leaves, Kumalos partner gets some information about the little girl of Sibeko, who has gone to Johannesburg to work for the little girl of the white man uSmith. (the last name is, true to form, really Smith; the prefix u-serves a similar capacity as Mister in Zulu). Sibeko himself didn't ask in light of the fact that he isn't an individual from their congregation, however Kumalo demands t hat he is of their kin regardless. Kumalo goes with the dread of a man who lives in a world not made for him, whose own reality is sneaking away. Analysis:Alan Paton again sets up Johannesburg as a position of incredible dread and risk in this section through both the tale about the child of Mpanza and the solicitation by Sibeko for Kumalo to contact his little girl. The main story manages the strict physical threats gave by the city, while the subsequent account reinforces prior affirmations that Johannesburg is where individuals from the nation go, gone forever. Paton likewise sets up the character of Stephen Kumalo in more noteworthy detail. In managing the instance of Sibeko, he is both sympathetic and harsh, demanding that Sibeko has no explanation not to make his solicitation straightforwardly, for they are both from similar individuals in spite of having various holy places, however he in any case concedes that he may discover a few issues all the more squeezing. Kumalo is re solute in his journey in Johannesburg, in spite of the huge number of stresses. In spite of the impending peril for Gertrude, Kumalo shows an a lot more prominent concern concerning the missing Absalom, in this manner foretelling that the principle account of the novel will include his child and not his sister. Maybe the most significant quality of Stephen Kumalo that Paton sets up is that Kumalo is a man who is arriving at outdated nature. He is a little rustic minister who doesn't live in the advanced world and is developing to find that the leftovers of his reality are falling around him. Section Four:The train passes the mines outside of Johannesburg, which Kumalo suspects may be the city, and the signs move from Kumalos Zulu language to the Afrikaans language that commands the city. At the point when the train arrives at Johannesburg, Kumalo sees tall structures and lights that he had never observed. To Kumalo, the commotion is monstrous, and he appeals to God for Tixo (the nam e of the Xosa god) to look out for him. A youngster approaches Kumalo and asks him where he needs to go. He discloses to Kumalo that he should sit tight in line for the transport, yet that he will go to the ticket office to purchase the ticket for him. Kumalo gives him the cash, however the youngster doesn't return, and an older man discloses to Stephen that he can just purchase the ticket on the transport: he has been cheated. Kumalo goes with the older man, Mr. Mafolo, and they show up at the Mission House, where Reverend Msimangu welcomes him. At the Mission House, just because, Stephen Kumalo has a sense of safety in Johannesburg. Analysis:This section centers basically around the depictions of Johannesburg as a forcing and undermining place. Paton sets up that the city is unfamiliar to Kumalo from multiple points of view, even in language; Kumalo has so little involvement in urban zones that he confuses a mining zone with a city. Kumalo is thusly the quintessential pariah when he arrives at Johannesburg. This is significant in a few regards. His outcast status permits Paton to utilize characters, above all Msimangu, to clarify the functions and coordinations of Johannesburg that would be evident to a genuine resident of urban South Africa. Likewise, the curiosity of the circumstance permits Kumalo a more prominent tender loving care, in this manner making open doors for point by point portrayal of revulsions that may appear to be standard to any cutting edge peruser. Finally, Kumalos status as an outcast, as this part surely illustrates, makes the minister a prepared casualty for entrepreneurs. Notwithstanding his age and experience, Kumalo has a self evident naivete that will be huge all through Cry, the Beloved Country. The connection between Reverend Msimangu and Stephen Kumalo will be a significant one all through the novel. Msimangu, as Kumalo, is a profoundly strict man, yet his involvement with Johannesburg has given him a vastly different point of view. He will serve basically as the manual for Stephen Kumalo as he travels all through the South African city on his different missions. Section Five:Msimangu offers Kumalo a room in the place of the older Mrs. Lithebe. Before they eat, Kumalo washes his hands and witnesses indoor pipes just because. Kumalo eats at the Mission House alongside a cleric from England and another minister from Ixopo. Kumalo depicts to the ministers how individuals leave from Ixopo, going out broken. They additionally talk about news from the Johannesburg Mail revealing how an older couple was ransacked and beaten by two locals. After supper, Msimangu and Kumalo talk secretly: Kumalo reveals to him that Gertrude came to Johannesburg when her better half was enlisted for the mines, however when his activity was done he didn't return. Msimangu discloses to Kumalo that Gertrude currently has numerous spouses and lives in Claremont, where she makes bootlegged alcohol and fills in as a whore. She has been in jail more than once, and now has a youngster. Kumalo enlightens Msimangu concerning Absalom, and Msimangu offers to assist him with discovering his child. Msimangu likewise reveals to Kumalo that his sibling John is not, at this point a woodworker, yet is an incredible man in governmental issues, regardless of having no utilization for the Church. Kumalo clarifies that the deplorability of South Africa isn't that things are broken, yet that they are not patched again and can't be retouched: it fit the white man to break the clan, however it has not fit him to assemble something in its place .u3b64765509be7b950273

Data Flow Diagrams in Health Care Essay Example

Information Flow Diagrams in Health Care Paper Information the executives in human services alludes to the association of and simple access to significant skill, at whatever point and any place it is required. Regardless of whether it shows restraint information or data about drugs that is required by a human services proficient at some random time, the assistance that data innovation can give in getting to required data, can't be limited. No longer does the medicinal services proficient need to flip through book after book to discover required data during a period of crisis. No longer does the individual need to go scanning for specialists when electronic correspondence is prepared to facilitate the working of medicinal services offices. Data frameworks permit educators of medicinal services to grant instruction all the more successfully to their youngsters. It is a reality, all things considered, that data innovation takes into consideration precise data to be put away and recovered. In addition, as the current conversation uncovers, the models used to comprehend data frameworks today may likewise be applied in other significant regions. This is the motivation behind why information stream charts of data innovation are these days being utilized to give social insurance data. We will compose a custom paper test on Data Flow Diagrams in Health Care explicitly for you for just $16.38 $13.9/page Request now We will compose a custom paper test on Data Flow Diagrams in Health Care explicitly for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Recruit Writer We will compose a custom paper test on Data Flow Diagrams in Health Care explicitly for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Recruit Writer Given the above favorable circumstances, all data advancements that facilitate the working of medicinal services offices have been welcomed with extraordinary energy as a result of their capacity to rearrange complex information. No big surprise, the social insurance industry has risen as a pioneer in embracing different data frameworks, that is, frameworks dependent on most recent PC advancements to store relevant data about patients, different ailments, meds, and so on. Medicinal services experts have needed to figure out how to utilize the new innovations to make their occupations simpler than previously. Also, they have needed to become familiar with the utilization of most recent advancements by utilizing an assortment of instruments that endeavor to rearrange the innovation exercises for social insurance specialists. One strategy for rearranging the information that experiences a data framework is by method of an information stream outline (DFD), which, in its most fundamental structure, basically shows the wellspring of the information that the data framework utilizes as an info, and the channel through which the information must travel through the framework to arrive at a definitive clients of the information yield (See Appendix). The data framework which forms the information that enters it as an info, is considered liable for conveying the information to its definitive clients in a structure that makes it simple for the clients of information to comprehend the data in this manner conveyed unto them. By making it straightforward for the clients of innovation to comprehend the data framework, the information stream outline transforms itself into a basic apparatus for social insurance chairmen who must comprehend the fundamental procedures encompassing a recently executed innovation before they can utilize the innovation suitably. The information stream outline consequently gets one of the most regularly utilized frameworks displaying devices today, especially for operational frameworks in which the elements of the framework are of vital significance and more intricate than the information that the framework controls (Yourdon). So as to disentangle complex information, DFDs were first utilized in the product building field as a documentation for considering frameworks configuration issues. The documentation had been obtained from before papers on chart hypothesis, and it keeps on being utilized as an advantageous strategy by programming engineers worried about direct execution of models of client necessities (Yourdon). Innovation specialists who structure inventive social insurance data frameworks may correspondingly think that its helpful to utilize DFDs while planning new frameworks for human services offices to profit by. Using a DFD, it is simple for an originator of a data framework to comprehend the procedures that data must experience in the framework, to separate the procedures and study them top to bottom, and to change the procedures in the stream graph when and if vital. The DFD technique is a component of â€Å"object-situated analysis† and is broadly utilized in all fields worried about the plan and utilization of data frameworks (Le Vie). As indicated by Donald Le Vie, the benefits of an information stream outline are the accompanying: (1) Use of DFDs advances snappy and moderately simple undertaking code improvement; (2) DFDs are anything but difficult to learn with their couple of and-easy to-get images; (3) The grammar utilized for DFDs is straightforward, utilizing English things, or thing descriptive word action word develops; and (4) DFDs are useful for utilitarian decay. While the information stream chart makes it basic likewise for individuals that are not innovation specialists to comprehend the chief procedures engaged with a data framework, the model experiences a few inconveniences as well. Le Vie depicts the drawbacks as the accompanying: (1) DFDs for huge frameworks can be unwieldy, hard to decipher, and read, and be tedious in their development; (2) Data stream can be confounding to software engineers; (3) DFDs are futile without the essential detail; (4) Different DFD models utilize various images (circles and square shapes, for instance, for substances); and (5) The model neglects to recognize information and control signals. From a hypothetical angle, the information stream outline has the ability to show a data framework initially. By and by, data frameworks include forms inside procedures. To put it another way, even innovation specialists may have an issue understanding DFDs except if these outlines expound on the procedures uncovered through the charts. Moreover, it is outlandish for individuals that are not innovation specialists to comprehend a data framework by means of DFDs past the fundamental procedures that are appeared in these graphs. The data sources and yields make no difference, as such, to those that look for information past the self-evident. No different, DFDs are profoundly mainstream among the architects of social insurance data frameworks, just as the heads of human services offices that need to comprehend the data frameworks at work. At present, DFDs are being utilized by the human services framework in forms from remedy up to and including the organization of chemotherapy (vincristine) in the pediatric oncology inpatient setting. In actuality, DFDs are fit for grasping a wide range of procedures in the social insurance framework. Incompletely because of their usability, the Healthcare Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (HFMEA) was created with DFDs having a significant impact in the structure of the task. The HFMEA, the reason for which is to improve human services by method of decreasing mistakes, has been depicted as an efficient way to deal with recognize and forestall item and procedure issues before they occur.† There are five key advances associated with directing a HFMEA examination: (1) Define the HFMEA point: This ought to incorporate an away from of the procedure to be contemplated; (2) Assemble the HFMEA group: The staff ought to be multidisciplinary and incorporate topic specialists and a consultant; (3) Graphically depict the procedure: Develop a stream chart; number each procedure step; recognize the zone of the procedure to concentrate on; distinguish all sub-forms; make a stream outline of the sub-process; (4) Conduct a disappointment examination: List all conceivable disappointment modes under the key sub-process; decide the seriousness and likelihood of every potential disappointment mode; utilize a Decision Tree to decide whether the disappointment mode warrants further activity; list all disappointment mode causes where the choice has been made to continue; and (5) Evaluate activities and result measures: Determine on the off chance that you need to dispense with, control, or acknowledge every disappointment mode cause; distinguish a portrayal of activity for every disappointment mode to be controlled or disposed of; recognize result measures to test the updated procedure; distinguish an individual liable for finishing the activity; and demonstrate whether top administration agrees with the suggested activity (van Tilberg). Despite the fact that the procedures associated with HFMEA are mind boggling, the DFD has the ability to rearrange them for those examining the procedures. DFDs are these days being utilized for the best possible administration of maladies for sure. For instance, the Michigan Department of Community Health is propelling a venture called, Implementation of a Statewide Information System for Sickle Cell Disease in Michigan utilizing information stream charts to aid the arranging and utilization of the new framework. The motivation behind the undertaking is to build up a state-wide data framework for the early location, legitimate administration and treatment of sickle cell sickness and different confusions of sickle cell infection. The principal year of the task would include meeting with the undertaking warning board, employing a change the board authority, confirming point by point stream diagrams of information streams to and from each accomplice, buying important equipment, and programming. The chiefs of the accomplice associations would distinguish follow-up conventions for sickle cell sickness to be customized into the DocSite program. The intrigue and eagerness of doctors to use the DocSite program would be evaluated by overview (Miller). During the second year of Implementation of a Statewide Information System, DFDs would stay being used when the accomplice associations would start pilot testing the DocSite programming. MDCH staff would then adjust the program and create client manuals †all with the utilization of DFDs. MDCH staff would likewise start scattering data about the data framework to different projects and doctors, through inside gatherings with Children with Special Health Care Services, and expert gatherings in M

INTRODUCTION TO RICHNESS

In this article, we will explore 1) an introduction to richness, 2) the biggest surprises of getting rich, 3) Steve Jobs opinion on getting rich, and 4) a conclusion. INTRODUCTION TO RICHNESS Earning good bucks in a short span of time is a dream of everybody. Becoming rich seems like getting everything in hand. One significant reason behind hoarding huge bucks is to get the extravagances of life beside the everyday needs. Some people have a particular inspiration while others want to acquire wealth for a certain ambition in life. From owning a nice house and a luxurious car to having the most expensive trip and designer brands, every person is running to get the maximum treasure. However, there is no set standard of becoming rich. If we look at the developed countries, we can see that an average U.S working class individual is richer in comparison to other individuals of the unindustrialized countries. On the other hand, a poor person who can hardly fulfill his basic needs of life can automatically become rich by migrating to some other country where there is a huge currency difference. Thus, for some people, a high class Mercedes Benz shows richness while for others it i s just an elementary requirement of life. Earning billions of dollars looks like an end of glitches and concerns. However, if we cast our eyes on the other side of the picture we can see the reality shock that a rich man experiences. Yes, the only problem which gets fixed after becoming rich is the availability of money. Once you have accumulated a good amount of cash, you will start experiencing the shortcomings of becoming rich. These drawbacks are the biggest surprises which a rich man faces in his life. Thus, getting luxuries of life is not the end of sorrows; you will have to face new challenges in life. These encounters are not only limited to yourself but also have an impact on your personal and work life. Let us see these biggest surprises. THE BIGGEST SURPRISES OF GETTING RICH 1) This will change for yourself Feeling isolated One of the biggest surprises is that youll feel isolated. It means that a rich man is not considered to be eligible for complaining even about valid things. People will never have pity for a rich man because they think he has money, which can resolve all his problems. In short, people stop treating a rich man like a human being. Low motivational level to work Once a person has received his desired aim of earning a specific amount in life and buying some specific luxuries, he will lose the enthusiasm to work hard. Fortitude towards work comes with a reason. Since a rich man has already got his desired things, he will not be willing to work hard anymore. This thing affects his professional career and long term growth. Beside this, he also feels lethargic and dull since he is not motivated to work hard anymore. Life seems boring as there is no particular aim on which he can work and strive. For instance, you have been working hard since five years to buy your own home, drive your own deluxe car, give high quality education to your kids, build your company and so on. Now that you have got everything in life, you will not strive hard to earn more because there is no inspiration. No more ambitions and goals Since there is no motivation, life will become aimless. For a person to stay healthy and fit there should be a particular aim and goal in life. The latest BMW model, which seems to be a dream, is now possible to buy. Now you can afford becoming a brand conscious person and enjoy vacations in a five star restaurant. Many billionaires have also reported about losing their focus in academics. A middle class person has a particular aim to complete his studies so that he can get a handsome job. In contrary, a tycoon is neither interested in getting a white collar job nor in starting his own business because he already has enough money to fulfill his desires. Thus, there is no goal and no determination in life. Things will lose value in your eyes You have been dreaming to get the high class Mercedes since years. This car has kept you motivated to work hard. Now that you are driving it and recently heard about the new model, it will lose value in your eyes. Things that meant so much to you before will now become useless as you always want to buy the hottest models. You need new things to get excited Since your lifestyle has changed dramatically, an average thing cannot make you glad anymore. You will always look for the best of the bests. For others, having a house like yours is a dream but for you it is just an ordinary place. Thus, cheerful moments will hardly come in your life as novelties are coming with each passing day. Insecurity about being robbed You cannot travel like any other civilian of the society. Proper security is essential for you every time. Beside this, if you are planning to visit an ordinary shopping mall like an average individual of the society does, you have to abandon your plan. Yes, there will be limited places where you can go and have fun. Chances of being robbed will keep you in stress all the time. 2) Friends and Colleagues People will start getting interested in your luxuries rather than your companionship. A new colleague who is willing to be in your group, is a friend or foe, you can never tell. Most of the people are now interested in your money rather than you. You will start experiencing a change in behavior of people. Yes, you will be highly greeted in many parties and given special treatment. Now, you will get more birthday wishes than ever and some new friends will also come at your place to greet you. Sudden marriage proposal may make you feel different, but wait, figure out if the person is interested in being your life partner or in spending your money to fulfill the desires. 3) Immediate Family and Relatives “Everything is a piece of cake for a rich man”, this is what a general perception is. Without feeling any hesitation, people will ask for hefty loans with an expectation that you won’t ask to return it early. Since you have billions of dollars in your bank account, your disapproval for a loan will end in severe disappointment and sometimes may result in abhorrence and envy. On the other hand, people will start developing unrealistic expectations of you. If there is a birthday party, your gift was supposed to be the most expensive one. You can never think of giving treat to your relatives in an average class restaurant. Luxury and class comes into mind whenever people think of you and so are their expectations. Thus, people start expecting more from you and if their expectations are not satisfied they start thinking deleterious about you. Now, people are more interested in your presents than you and it is one of the reasons they invite you to their parties. Apart from it, relati ves want to show others that they have invited multi-millionaires to their parties and that is the reason of giving special treatment to you. In addition to this, another impact of being rich comes directly on your children. Your children will not know the real value of money. It is due to the reason that they have been brought up in a comfortable environment where meeting all the desires was simple. Whether they need cash to complete their studies or just to spend their vacations in an exclusive way, they have got everything with ease. Not only are the basic needs fulfilled, but also their luxuries needs. Since childhood they have seen high class and elite looks in every part of their life, thus they can never develop a feeling to earn money with struggle. Because of this, many individuals with rich backgrounds do not possess the same qualities for struggling as their parents. Children take things for granted and are unable to understand the struggle behind earning the basic bread and butter for life. 4) Scarcity The feeling of scarcity is always present in rich peoples life. They can never believe on the fact that less is more. A poor man gets happy with the basic amenities of life; however, a rich person always has lust to get more and more luxuries. Thus, it is difficult to satisfy a rich man in comparison to a poor one. Apart from it, it is difficult to make a rich happy. An average class gift, a treat in a low level restaurant or anything below his class is unable to make him happy. Since fashion trends and innovations keep on coming, he feels difficult to get satisfied with what he has at present and looks for getting more advanced stuff. 5) Chances to Meet Fraudsters When you were poor, no one was interested in your reserves and bank balance. Now that you have millions of dollars in your account, you are more likely to meet fraudsters and dodges. People may take any approach to grab this money from you. Beside this, chances of being robbed are also increased automatically when you change your lifestyle in a better way. Now, you need security to travel from one place to another and you should keep an eye on persons taking your information smartly. Whether you are buying a new property or changing your home, you can probably meet fraudsters. Since life has changed, you cannot travel without security. Yes, another expense is waiting for you and that is the security expense. A smart financial analyst may make you fool if you do not have proper knowledge of finance. Hiring a lawyer is therefore imperative to resolve complexities. 6) Victim of Jealousy and Envy Having all the luxuries and comforts of life, you are most likely to face jealousy from others. This jealous nature may be experienced even from close relatives. Friends and relatives will start comparing their life with you. Your new sports car will never make others happy. Yes, you will receive comments like spending money for charity is good and so on. This strange reaction from others makes life miserable. No matter how good you are with others, you will encompass envy and jealousy. A colleague doing the same business as yours will definitely compare his life with yours. This jealousy becomes a source of envy and many good friends can turn into foe. It is due to this reason that a rich person has few loyal friends. Some friends are interested in your money while others start developing jealousy with you. STEVE JOBS OPINION ON GETTING RICH The cell phones which we are using these days and the laptops which are helping us in doing business with ease are the greatest contributions of Steve Jobs. In this modern era, every other person is well-aware about his personality and contributions. Having an extraordinary intelligence and creativity, Jobs has earned a lot in his life. People assume that he does not have to deal with any complication and that life brings just happiness. However, his opinion about becoming rich is different. By sharing his personal experience of earning hefty dollars, Jobs thinks that he had earned money not because he wanted to become rich but because of his passion for work. According to Jobs, he started making good dollars at the age of 23 and then his earnings got multiplied greatly. It was not his money that was driving his brain to think creatively but it was his devotion and passion for work. In addition to this, he said that he had no lust for money and because of this reason he had no fear i n trying out new things. If he had love for money, he was unable to invent so many things as there was a risk associated with each of them. CONCLUSION In a nutshell, money is not everything. People think that becoming a millionaire will resolve all their problems but in reality, excess of money puts life in crises. Money brings unanticipated sorrows and troubles that are hard to face and may put life in melancholy. It is a wrong perception that money can make a person happy. Happiness comes with loyal friends and harmony in life, which money cannot bring. Many big shots of the world are deprived of devoted friends and peace. It cannot be denied that material things last for some time. Every asset has depreciation and a time comes when all our possessions lose their original worth. With high class luxuries and top notch lifestyle, you can just have a life of comfort but trustworthy friends and mental peace cannot be achieved with money. Thus, there should be a perfect balance in life. One should not run for earning more and more money. Excess of everything brings adverse impacts and so is the case with money. Having a middle class standard is ideal and keeps oneself motivated towards working hard. Additionally, one should work in a field of life in which he has passion and interest. Steve Jobs life is a perfect example. If the main motive to work is to generate money, then life will eventually become boring. Money is just a part of life but life is not meant to earn money. Even the most precious house can be vanished with natural disasters. If you want to belong among the rich persons of the world, get ready to feel out casted from the society. All in all, the isolating experience, jealousy, hatred, loss of friends, are some of the biggest reality shocks you will face after entering into a rich from medium class. Why Money Can’t Buy Happiness

About Donald Trump - Free Essay Example

Hes at it again, that person were supposed to refer to as our President. Hes not a very great one at all. Today ive learned that he vows to cut aid to Central American countries over migrant caravan, Trump has said he will be cutting off or reducing aid to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Last year all three of the countries had been given roughly in total more than 500 million dollars in funding from the US. Trump tweeted saying Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming illegally to the U.S. The whole purpose of the caravan are groups of people from central america fleeing their country due to high levels of violence and wanting to get away from it, being safe for themselves and their family. The caravan, an calculable 7,000 to 10,000 Central Americans fleeing violence and poverty in their homelands, is in southern Mexico, inching toward the distant U.S. border. Trump claims that there are Criminals and unknown middle easterners mixed with the caravan but does not have any evidence of this. This was a tweet made by our President Donald Trump on October 22 of 2018, Sadly, it looks like Mexicos Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States. Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergy. Must change laws! Trump is being again racist, and afraid for change. He is unwilling to help out people that seek it. There are so many things he could do, but instead he chooses to threaten Mexico and tell them they need to stop the caravan. Hes also made it where he can shut down the border so no one comes in or out of Mexico. This saddens me, Trump is not who we need in office. He blames the democrats tweeting, Every time you see a Caravan, or people illegally coming, or attempting to come, into our Country illegally, think of and blame the Democrats for not giving us the votes to change our pathetic Immigration Laws! Remember the Midterms! So unfair to those who come in legally. I have family members that used to be residents of Mexico and have gotten their citizenship now or even a visa but the process was not an easy one. It wont be an easy one especially now. If he was better at helping people get some type of residency or permission to be in our country it wouldnt be so unfair if given the right resources. Last week in class we were learning about public opinions and voting but Trump is a very bad example for both. First off he shouldve never been elected and he has too many racists opinions is doesnt help that hes president when we have a diverse country. I hope someone really has the power to tak e him out of office the next election. We need a change and it is not him.

Weaknesses of Descartes Arguments Essays - 1641 Words

Descartes was incorrect and made mistakes in his philosophical analysis concerning understanding the Soul and the foundation of knowledge. Yes, he coined the famous phrase, â€Å"I think therefore I am,† but the rest of his philosophical conclusions fail to be as solid (Meditation 4; 32). Descartes knew that if he has a mind and is thinking thoughts then he must be something that has the ability to think. While he did prove that he is a thinking thing that thinks (Meditation 3; 28), he was unable to formulate correct and true philosophical arguments and claims. For instance, his argument for faith that a non-deceiving God exists and allows us to clearly reason and perceive was a circular argument. Another issue with Descartes philosophy†¦show more content†¦Also, it is wrong to think that just because we can reason clearly that a non-deceiving God must be allowing us to do so. It is possible that this is just a natural occurrence in human beings because it is an intrinsic characteristic. Secondly, to even think to reconcile scientific and religious views is entirely inappropriate. Descartes was a dualist in that he divided reality into two distinctly different realms. He said that the mind, which is what he thought was the Soul and not a physical brain, existed on its own and that the body was just a perceived extension of the mind. While he said that the mind and the body were related, he proposed that the mind was not governed by the body and therefore maintained free will. On the other hand, Descartes believed that the body can only be studied and explained through science. The mind was capable of free will, which has a religious connotation in that it denotes that a higher force, or God, is not controlling the minds of humans but then their minds are in control of their bodies. Then, the body was a scientific vessel that was inhabited by the Soul, or the mind, for a temporary amount of time. Apparently, the mind could not be exp lained through science but rather religion whereas the body could only be explained and studied through science and not religion. Organization Structure Assessment for Qantas Airlines †Free Samples

Question: Discuss about the Organization Structure Assessment for Qantas Airlines. Answer: Qantas Airlines started in Australia in November 1920 (Richard Ivey School of Business, 2012). It started offering their service in 1921 and in1935 it began international service. Nickname given to the, Airline is The Flying Kangaroo. Because it was founded in Australia famous Kangaroo. The airline is the second oldest airline in the whole world and the biggest in Australia. The oldest airline is the Dutchs KLM. The airline serves 41 distinct destinations globally with its 132-fleet size. In the Australian domestic market, the airline holds the largest market share of around 65% (Richard Ivey School of Business, 2012). The Government and Corporate Affairs Executive, Olivia Worth faced a social media related challenge in 2011. The airline launched on its Twitter account a contest and promised to reward the winner of the contest with amenity kit 50 pairs and first class pajamas. The members of the public nonetheless used the contests platform to attack the company negatively concerning the services they were receiving. Also, the public through a You Tube video criticized the companys Chief Executive Officer for not understanding how to communicate with the public (Richard Ivey School of Business, 2012). In order to counter the negative reaction on social media from the members of the public, Olivia Worth must develop an action plan that will ensure that the airline regains its glory. The main issues the Qantas airline faced were the lack of basic communication skills by the top management on social media, repeated failure of the companys airplanes engines, and negative publicity. In order to prevent the repetition of the same situation, there are numerous actions that can be taken by the Qantas Airline in the future which can help in the redevelopment of the airlines brand image among the members of the public. First, Olivia Worth as the companys executive, must apologize to the public for not monitoring keenly the feedbacks from the companys Twitter account. The public had utilized the Tweeter account to tweet negatively about the company. The company should use the publics feedback to improve the services offered by the airline so as to increase the level of customers satisfaction. Obviously, the firm was not monitoring its Twitter account otherwise the company could not have incited the members of the public to continue sending their feedback without acknowled ging the content of the same feedback. The members of the public felt that the firm was not addressing their concerns. Additionally, the firm needs to improve its communication strategies, especially towards the general public when using social media. This can be achieved effectively when the airline employees a professional who will be in charge of monitoring customers feedbacks on their social media accounts such as Twitter account. (Jana Seijts, 2012) notes that the members of the public expressed their dissatisfaction with the airlines services through a You Tube video which went viral. The video was criticizing the airlines Chief Executive Officer, Alan Joyce, and other senior managers for their lack of understanding on how to communicate with the members of the public (Richard Ivey School of Business, 2012). Qantas failed to appreciate the voice of the public and their concerns, this approach needs to be discarded and in turn implement a strategy that will be tailored towards the needs of the members of the public, who forms the companys customer base. The can be done through effective collecti on of social media feedback and using that feedback positively to improve service delivery. Similarly, the company should offer their passengers promotional fares, especially those who were victims of the grounding of the airlines fleet. Qantas Airline passengers worldwide were stranded and negatively affected by the strikes which led to change of plans and delayed flights. The company also needs to offer discounts to all affected passengers as a compensation so as to restore customers confidence in the airline (Andrea Mangini, 2017). These strategies can ensure that the company retains its customers, restores the public confidence, and increases its market share and revenue. Finally, the firm should regularly and properly maintain their airplanes engines. This can be achieved by hiring of more engineers and technical staff. The current employees should also be trained so as to be able to know how to react towards this types of incidences. For an organization using social media, it needs to consider the interactions that take place on social networks (Andrea Mangini, 2017). This involves monitoring of the respective social media account and giving feedbacks to the customers comments. It is not mandatory for all the social media interactions to be constant between the public and the organization, which is the account holder. Nonetheless, the organization such Qantas Airline, has the responsibility of monitoring the accounts activity and feedback to the concerns of the public. Social network interactions between the groups that the organization targets as main audience, can be of significance towards the improvement of the firms service delivery. The organization should carefully listen, check facts, and respond to the comments of the members of the public (Paola Barbara, 2015). The organization will be able to learn the mood of the audience by analyzing their comments. Another factor that organizations should consider when using social media is the type of the content it posts or tweets on social media (Mergel, 2012). The firm has a responsibility to provide facts and content on social media that educates and informs the public about a particular issue. This can only be achieved by reading the mood of the public through their feedback. It will be inappropriate to advertise or to sponsor a promotion when the public is concerned about a particular issue (Mergel, 2012). For an organization like Qantas Airline, it is advisable to tweet or post a comment that provides answers to the concern of the members of the public. Qantas Course of Action The following template provides a course of action recommended for the Qantas airline: 1.Timing November, 25th, 2011 2.Audience Qantas staff and Passengers (The Public) 3.Sender Qantas Airline 4.Key Message To assure the public that the company will not ignore the customers feedback, but it will utilize the feedback to improve its services. 5.Desired Outcome To improve the companys reputation by getting positive perception from members of the public 6.Medium Social media such as Twitter and Facebook 7.Materials Branded Hashtags 8.Frequency Twice a week Summary In conclusion, Qantas Airline through the assistance of Olivia Worth, should devise and follow a course of action. This will help the firm to regain its lost reputation among the members of the public. The firm should also acknowledge publicly its mistakes and provide discounts for its passengers. To curb the challenges of engine breakdowns, the company needs to employ more engineers who will be in charge of regular monitoring of the engines. References Andrea Mangini, S. P. (2017). Report Writing About Depression

Paul Dewey (2006) defined depression as a health condition which is characterised with intense feelings of low mood or sadness. Even though these are common feelings in human life that are likely to come as a result of normal reactions to matters of life, depression is much more serious since it interferes with people’s lives in a negative manner (p. 285).Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Report Writing About Depression specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Globally, the incidence of depression tends to be high. However, the prevalence of the condition varies greatly throughout the world, with some countries having higher rates than others. Focusing on the Australian context, Slade and others (2009) stated that depression is among the top three individual health problems in Australia together with stroke and heart attack. The incidence of the disease in the country is observed to have risen over the years to re ach very high levels today (p. 594). According to the Australian National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing, conducted in 2014, there are around one million people in Australia suffering from depression today. In fact, depression has a high lifetime-prevalence where it is observed that one in seven Australians will experience depression in their lifetime. Depression triggers serious economic as well as social impacts on Australians, as a result of the management costs and the many suicide deaths that would tend to arise from the condition. Even though depression can occur at any age of life, it is very common with the elderly people who are highly exposed to most of the factors contributing to the condition. There are many factors that can trigger depression for all age groups, but some of the common causes would include things such as illnesses, bereavement, loss of independence, and exposure to brutal life conditions. People having depression may be identified with feelings of sadness, loss of interest in common matters of life, hopelessness, emptiness, and despair, among other symptoms (Barney et al., 2006). This condition can interfere with people’s ability to eat, rest, work, participate in studies, and interact with others. The prognosis for people suffering from depression is often not favourable. In most cases, the deep hopelessness experienced in depression would make victims see suicide as the only way to escape from the brutalities of the condition (Sanchez, 2001).Advertising Looking for essay on psychology? Apart from the extreme outcomes highlighted above, victims are also likely to adopt bad behaviours that can be characterised with things such as homicidal violence, drug abuse, and irritability. The treatment of people with depression has become much easier in Australia du e to the many developments that have been realised in the Healthcare Sector. For instance, the use of modern technologies in the sector has improved the work of the professionals who deal with this condition, thus making it more manageable (Sawyer et al., 2001). Different health care professionals across the country can offer treatment and advice on how to handle depression. Apart from the role played by doctors, much help can also be realised through the help of psychologists and psychiatrists. These later professionals in the health care sector assist people to cope with life issues in an effective way, thus helping to minimise cases of depression (Wilson, 2007). Common psychological treatments in Australia include things such as family therapy, interpersonal therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy. Depression is often misunderstood by many people in the world, and this helps to explain the many myths surrounding the condition today. For example, there are many misunderstandings a bout the condition and how it impacts people’s lives in Australia. Following is a summary of some of the common myths of depression in the country. There is concrete evidence that many people in Australia tend to believe that depression is the cause of all suicide deaths in the world, but this not true (Reavley Jorm, 2011). Even though depression is a major cause of suicide deaths, not all people who commit suicide suffer from the condition. But the truth of the matter is that suicide deaths can also occur as a result of other causes. In some cases, people have also been misled to believe that depression is a communicable disease. This is also not true, since it has been proven that depression is a condition which is triggered by some common factors in life.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Report Writing About Depression specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More There is also a misunderstanding that all young peo ple will develop depression, and therefore, it is just a normal part of human life (Jorm et al., 2006). This is also a myth, and the truth about this perception is that depression does not come just to anybody, and in case it occurs, it can be to people of any age and not only young people. This explanation can also apply in dismissing a belief by some communities that depression only affects the old, which is also not true. Another false belief about depression is that it always leads to insanity. There is also a misleading perception that people suffering from this condition are doomed. Another serious misinformation about depression is that, talking and listening to ones family and friends alone can permanently cure the condition. All these myths among others that have not been observed here are likely to perpetuate discrimination and stigma against the victims. For instance, people suffering from the condition will be sidelined by others for fear that they will pass the disease to them. More importantly, the victims are viewed as doomed people who are destined for death through suicide, and in that case, they are discriminated and stigmatized by others in the community. The media, both fiction and non-fiction, has been a significant tool which has been used to portray the issue of depression and other mental problems in Australia. Even though study has shown most of these media to have played a key role in informing the public about depression, others have just misinformed people about the condition, thus further perpetuating the discrimination and stigma associated with it (Highet, Luscombe Davenport, 2006). However, the good news is that over 80 percent of the media have taken the issue of depression more seriously, thus applying every effort to inform people about it. A good example here is the Australian print media which has extensively continued to educate people about the facts surrounding the condition (McGorry et al., 2007).Advertising Looking for essay on psychology?
